State of the Union: What a Mess - March 2015

I recently wrote an email in correspondence with a person who wrote about our educational system becoming a government tool right out of the planks of the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx in an email she sent to me. I duplicate it here:
Yes, I remember when students had a choice in foreign language courses. Today, that is rare. It has been narrowed down to Spanish, Spanish, Spanish. The government's excuse? Lack of funds, despite the fact that education costs more than any other time in history - costing more than any other nation with less results.
Government wants something, and like Obama, will go through the back door and secret meetings to get what it wants. Government's role in overseeing our national education institutions is no different.

Unfortunately, when I point out the ills of our educational system (backed by statistics showing how far we have lagged behind other educational systems across the globe) - immediately I am pegged "anti-teacher", like when I write about the corruption of the Obama Crime Family in Washington, I am a 'racist'.
I have never looked down upon teachers and professors, indeed I have hailed them as saviors of civilization and the foundation of keeping a nation strong by ensuring we continue to have knowledgeable and intellectual generations. However, since progressive socialism has become the hallmark of our institutions, like the corrupt, self-serving Democrat party who becomes a majority for too long - results are like what happened to Detroit and other cities.
Our Founders wrote how we should cherish the importance of education to ensure that citizens not only become literate, but improve our nation as well retain our constitutional republic. Thomas Jefferson wrote about this on numerous occasions. John Adams commented that the constitutional republic could only remain if society remained educated and moral in matters of civic duties.
The myriad of problems are issues that has been caused by several factors, but the corruption of our youth by the educational system that has become a propaganda machine for the progressive government stands out as the parts of that foundation that has led us to where we are and we our nation is heading.
Students must be have a good foundation of general knowledge in order to produce future citizens who are responsible and know just how great the constitutional republican system is. When students incline to study political philosophy, they are taught about the different forms of government, not for the reason of choosing something different, but to provide an overall knowledge. When such classes become nothing but propaganda arenas for the progressive agenda and government indoctrination programs, the students are then led to believe that our Constitution is 'flawed' and 'outdated'. Their alternate choice is a progressive socialist government that keeps the people in line by making them offers they will eventually not be able to refuse; and the term 'choice' is stricken from the vocabulary.
It saddens me to think that the noble profession of education and those who truly are the building blocks of the future, could be so corrupted and strive to brainwash our children; forbidding intellectual discussion in favor of whatever consensus the progressives and government will mandate.
Reason, logic and good old fashioned common sense is what was the hallmark of our Founders and the foundation stones of American education.
I commend any teacher, professor or member of the administration who will continue to fight against the progressive movement to turn our schools into socialist propaganda institutions that is not dedicated to truth and knowledge, but instead of consensus and indoctrination.
Thank you [name withheld] for your life service and contribution to our education system; and hope that it is not too late for true reformation that can only happen if American society educates itself to the facts of what has and is going on within our society and thus bleeding over into our government. Americans cannot expect to have true reformation of our government without first standing back, looking in a mirror, and seeing what We the People have become. Those politicians that are ruining our country got to where they are because of misinformed, naive, and self-centered citizens who voted for them to be put there. It no longer is an issue of 'Republican' or 'Democrat' - but constitutionalists; for it is they who can only begin the long road back to the constitutional republic that was conceived by the Founders and made our nation great. We the People made our nation the "home of the free and the land of the brave" with presidents, senators, and representatives there to ensure it remains that way. It is We the People that allowed this pollution of our government to be carried so far, so it is We the People that must make it right again.
My reply was based upon her email:
This, along with cultural topics which include Literature of the Liberators, such as Bolívar, San Martín, Martí; Mayan mathematics; Agriculture and El Niño/La Niña; Percussive rhythms of Afro-Latin American cultures and much more. Remember when every school had classes to appreciate German, French, Polish, Italians and the rest?
Hillary Clinton wants to be our president. She has had this goal for a very long time. She will do anything, as her history shows, to obtain what she wants. After Obama is gone, we will need someone strong enough with a desire to re-institute the constitutional republic and mend this nation in several ways. We especially do not need the likes of Hillary. I cannot fathom how American citizens (and illegal counterparts) can ignore her long history of lies and corruption; some that can only be described as evil.
Thanks to the progressives and the takeover of that which is not prescribed in the limitations of power in the US Constitution …
The FCC report has just provided us with information that the recent intrusion of the federal government into the world of the Internet will see an Internet tax soon to follow.
Net neutrality proponents are already bragging that it will turn the FCC into the ‘Department of the Internet,’ Republican Commissioner Ajit Pai wrote in an exhaustive 63-page dissent that lamented the FCC’s ruling for reasons ranging from higher taxes and fees to the plan’s questionable legality.
The Universal Service Fund (USF) is the agency that collects from utilities across the nation, contributing to rising costs of those utilities. The fund is now at $8.7 billion, growing 20% since President Obama took office in 2008. and now it will grow even more that he has succeeded to bypass Congress (behind closed doors and secretive mandate) and delve into the last bastion of freedom Americans have – the Internet. You will see this tax on your communications and utilities, passed to consumers, as a “universal service fee”.
Didn't Obama recently make a grand speech, sometime around his infamous State of the Union Address, that he wanted to make the Internet, broadband, available to ALL Americans. Of course he does – it is a big increase in funds through taxation. He and his kind do not look at budgeting as trimming off the excess fat – they just increase taxes. It is why they are called 'tax-and-spend' politicians.
Inflation-adjusted federal tax revenues hit a record: $1,185,613,000,000 in the first five months of fiscal 2015, but the federal government still ran a $386,537,000,000 deficit during that time.
It is the highest ever federal tax intake.

I am sure that people are sick of hearing about Ferguson, Missouri; but in another recent protest, two police offers were shot down in cold blood. One day after those two policemen were seriously wounded and police on the hunt for the person who did it, Obama talks about it to a comedian: Jimmy Kimmel, and here is what he said:
What had been happening in Ferguson was oppressive and objectionable and was worthy of protest. But there was no excuse for criminal acts. And whoever fired those shots shouldn't detract from the issue. They're criminals. They need to be arrested. … You can't generalize about police officers, who do an extraordinarily tough job. Overwhelmingly, they do it professionally. You can't generalize about protesters, who it turns out had some very legitimate grievances, the Justice department report showed that they were being stopped....
CNS News reported that
Kimmel introduced Obama as the “first Kenyan-born Muslim Socialist ever elected president. After taping the show, Obama went on to a Democratic fund-raiser.
Sorry, but I do not see any humor in that.

John Kerry, another member of the Democrat Obama Crime Family stated that -
When an apple falls from a tree, it will drop toward the ground. We know that because of the basic laws of physics. … So when science tells us that our climate is changing and humans beings are largely causing that change, by what right do people stand up and just say, ‘Well, I dispute that’ or ‘I deny that elementary truth?
Kerry, people once unanimously conceded that the world was flat.
No direct answers coming from the White House whether (or not) Obama is pursuing a “non-binding” nuclear agreement with Iran without the advice and consent of the US Senate, which is clearly written into the US Constitution. …
Secretary of State John Kerry raised eyebrows when he told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this week that the P5+1 – the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany – were negotiating a non-binding agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, prompting some critics to wonder what the point would be of a deal that Iran could simply abandon.
I have written about the infiltration of the drug cartel from across the border and that there is an increase in the use of heroin in the United States. CNS News reported that DEA Administrator, Michele Leonhart stated that -
...Our international folks play a huge role here, because the majority of the heroin that is hitting your streets is coming from Mexico.
Right here in Wisconsin, Milwaukee County showed a 72% increase in heroin-related deaths from 2013 to 2014 – thanks to the lack of border security and ignoring immigration laws and government corruption in terms of false identification and awarding illegal aliens amnesty.
Among them are the soldiers of drug cartels – and that corruption and crime wars will be imported with them. Tammy Baldwin, recently involved in a VA scandal was present at the committee session that questioned the DEA administrator.
All of this is the tip of the iceberg of how the federal government has run amuck and its people rushing toward the precipice. No relief in site because Obama will not be impeached by a spineless Congress and not deterred by a corrupt US Supreme Court. It is like an extended series of the Godfather films.

  1. There is a definite lack of morality now. along with the lack of common sense.
I remember when Latin, French, German and Spanish were options. I don't buy that it costs too much to teach them.

I still hold hope that somehow the Constitution will prevail; but the people who can vote themselves things will be hard to beat.
Take care and have a blessed Sunday.

  2. Excellent point, Linda. Freedom of choice are not just words and part of what Jefferson referred to as 'natural law' - like self defense. As John Adams stated several ways and several times - the government is only as moral and just as society that supports it. When people start wanting to take responsibility in their own lives, that is when the constitutional republic will return - as you so aptly pointed out. Sadly, good things are not missed until it is gone.
